Meet Crew. This cute little guy is 2 months. I love that we did a lifestyle session. I suggested it to his mom and she loved the idea. I think this is such an amazing way to capture your baby. Enjoy this handsome little man.

For all you who know/care about the technical stuff, this next one is SOOC except a slight sharpening for the web. Natural light just coming in from the window. 60mm 2.8 3.5 1/200 250 I’m a nerd, I love to know that stuff.

Isn’t he the cutest little thing?! He was so easy going and happy. Lots of smiles! I have had so much fun watching him grow, and seeing him back every 4 months. I get asked a lot what ages I would recommend best to photograph. In my opinion newborns, then 4 months -they have changed so much by this point, they went from sleeping pictures to wide awake and smiling. Then 8 months, they are usually sitting up but hopefully can’t crawl away from me yet. And then of course 1 yr for some birthday shots. And I can’t wait to see him again for some birthday shots this summer!

Can you handle her cuteness?! She was so happy and just adorable for her session. These 3-4 month mini sessions are so fun to do. They have changed so much since a newborn, and I love to catch this stage before they are sitting up.

Oh he’s so darn cute. Brandt was a newborn last time I saw him, and now he’s 6 months! The perfect happy smiling, sitting, and not yet crawling stage. He’s also still sporting those perfect lips. Ladies will love him.

Can I just say how much I love photographing a birth! It is such an intimate moment that is so amazing to be a part of. And I know I say this every.single.time. but honestly so many things are a blur during labor that you forget. So many memories simply slip the mind until you see something to remind you of it. A priceless photograph, something to trigger your memory, to show your children was it was like the day they were born.

This little miss turned 1! She is so darn cute! We decided to go with a lifestyle session for her 1 year shoot, and I think it was a pretty great idea! There is some many fleeting moments of your babies first year. Things that are going to be gone all to quickly. As much as I love shooting a portrait type session, I love this even more. And years from now when her mom is looking back, I bet these will be the pictures she will cherish the most! Madison being Madison. Doing what she does at home, on a daily basis.
A few favorites… but really you should just go here and watch the video, there’s lots more, and it’s just plain cute.

Want a lifestyle session for your little one or two? They work great for all ages. Promise!
A little peak at this cute little newbie.
And I finally joined Instagram. Are you on it too?? http://www.instagram.com/
I really rarely take on an engagement session, and pretty much never a wedding. I feel like posing a couple doesn’t come nearly as natural for me as posing a newborn does. But these two love birds were gifted a gift certificate from a client of mine, so off we went to take some engagements. I really didn’t have to do much “posing” with them. Thankfully or not so thankfully really, it was FREEZING, so they just snuggled up to each other and I started snapping. We were frozen by the end of the session, 45 minutes in negative weather is COLD! But all worth it in the end. Thanks guys!
